Attracted to art since childhood, Bagus began with traditional Indonesian dance and Gamelan. Later he joined his school’s Gamelan group, which made him fond of the javanese pentatonic scale. When Bagus started to sing in the "serious" choir in highschool, it encouraged him to switch to a more choral life. He was a part of the 1st session of APYC and also is a "senior citizen". Since 2010 he enjoys singing contra/alto more than tenor, and most of his performances, choral or solo, are now as an Alto.
