Matúš Šimko is a lyric tenor. He studied Law at Matej Bel University while also studying singing at Conservatorium in his home town, Banská Bystrica, in Slovakia. Later he continued at L´Istituto superiore di studi musicali G. Birccialdi in Terni, Italy, under the tutelage of Gloria Banditelli. His current voice teacher is Prof. Hudecová in Bratisalva. Matúš is a member of the Slovak Philharmonic Choir and as a soloist he performs with ensembles for Early Music, Solamente naturali and Cuore Barocco, in Bratislava.
