Florian Sievers
Florian Sievers was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1988. At the age of eight he began his musical education as a boy soprano in the Chorknaben Uetersen, a regional boys choir. After bachelor studies in music education he currently studies a master's programme in opera singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater (University of Music and Drama) in Leipzig, Germany with Prof. Berthold Schmid.
As a soloist he has appeared in many venues around Germany singing oratorio and opera repertoire from early baroque to romanticism. Besides his solo career, Florian is constantly singing in various ensembles. He is a founding member of the Sony Classical artist Quartonal, a german four-part male group which gives concerts around Europe and beyond. He has sung in many professional choirs, such as the Kammerchor Stuttgart (cond. Frieder Bernius), the MDR Radio Choir, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Choir and the Chamber Choir of Europe. He was part of the World Youth Choir session of 2010 and is a founding member of the Time Ensemble.
